Day 1. We will depart early morning from your school on a deluxe motor coach. Today our destination is the 18th Century- Colonial Williamsburg. We’ll arrive early evening and have pizza and a pool party at our hotel, the Sheraton Four Points. Day 2. The 18th Century lives today as we visit Colonial Williamsburg. In the 173 acres and more than 500 restored and reconstructed buildings of Colonial Williamsburg, you'll discover hundreds of people representing actual citizens from 18th century Williamsburg. You'll find them greeting guests at their taverns, stoking the fire outside a tenant house or judging the accused in the courts. You'll hear them discussing British taxes, religious freedom and the alarming notion of separating - forever - from the mother country. Carter’s Grove and the Abby Rockefeller Museum are just two of the attractions we’ll see today. After dinner at a local restaurant, a candlelight walking tour is scheduled: The Ghosts of Williamsburg. Then it’s back to the hotel. Day 3. Today we visit the Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center. Jamestown was the first permanent English Colony on the North American Continent. The drama of the American Revolution and the birth of a great nation come to life at Yorktown Victory Center. In provocative indoor galleries, witness the Revolution through the eyes of those who were there—from soldiers on the battlefields to women on the home front, from American Indians to African Americans. The evocative film, A Time of Revolution, places you in a Continental Army encampment where soldiers spend an evening reminiscing and musing on their lives and the war that has brought them together. Outdoors, experience the sights and sounds of the Revolutionary War in the re-created Continental Army encampment. On the re-created 18th-century farm, interpreters in the garden, tobacco house, farmhouse and kitchen introduce you to life in 1780s Virginia. This evening we have a real treat. Dinner and entertainment at Rosie Rumpe’s Regal Dumpe, "King Henry's Favorite Tavern". (PG13) Revel & sing with saucy Serving Wenches, Minstrels & Fools. It's Lively...It's Bawdy...you're part of the show! Enjoy a delectable 5 Course Meal served at your table. The Most Fun You've Ever Had... Sitting Down. Or alternatively a Mystery Dinner theater The dinner theatres can be replaced by an afternoon at Busch Gardens with dinner coupons. Day 4. Who knew history could be so much fun! Today, we return home with new knowledge of the land we call our own. Expect an arrival mid-evening.
